We love to have a good time here at CCG IQ, and we go the extra mile to make our office a fun place to be. As part of our commitment to creating an engaging work environment, we encourage our team members to join committees so they can explore the things they have in common with their co-workers while having fun. Our committees are an integral part of our culture because we believe that employees who truly enjoy spending time with each other feel more energized and get greater personal fulfillment out of their work.

To jump-start our summer of fun events, we held a committee kickoff celebration in our newly renovated break room, complete with a spread of sandwiches and cookies! The event gave employees the opportunity to get up from their desks and sign up for events while enjoying some food and entering drawings for raffle prizes. We had a great turnout, and we’re excited for all the great activities that our committees have planned for the coming months!

Arts and Parks Committee

Our office is just a short walk away from several of Charlotte’s well-known museums and theater venues, and our Arts and Parks Committee is all about taking advantage of the cultural resources that the Queen City has to offer. In staying true to that mission, the committee raffled off two tickets to the Mint Museum at our kickoff celebration, which recruiting coordinator Angelique took home. Shortly after the event, our creative-minded employees attended a Charlotte Millennial Art Program talk featuring local photographer Katherine Kirchner at the Elder Gallery of Contemporary Art. Our crew had a great time learning about the field of photography while enjoying drinks from Wooden Robot and snacks from Queen City Catering Company! Similar outings are in the works for the rest of the year.

Foodies Committee

There’s no shortage of amazing restaurants in uptown Charlotte, and our Foodies Committee is on a mission to find the tastiest dining options that the city has to offer! At our kickoff event, technical recruiter Lauren won the opportunity to have lunch with the Foodies crew, while claims processor Frank scored a lunch for himself and two co-workers. The group’s upcoming events include a company potluck, as well as a Food Truck Friday outing. To keep up with our team’s food-filled adventures, follow @consolidated_foodies on Instagram.

Holiday and Events Committee

We love celebrating the holidays here at CCG IQ — from dressing up for Halloween to Thanksgiving potlucks to Christmas parties. In addition to putting together these festivities, the Holiday and Events Committee plans our company anniversary celebrations, employee baby showers and other fun, social gatherings. On tap for August is a happy hour at Stoke Charlotte. Every month, the committee also provides treats from a nearby eatery to acknowledge our team members’ birthdays! In true celebratory fashion, the committee raffled off two bottles of Prosecco at our committee kickoff, which went to claims coordinator Shacarra and claims processor Michelle.

Music Committee

We have a lot of music lovers at CCG IQ, and it’s the goal of our Music Committee to get everyone together outside of the office to enjoy some tunes and get to know each other. In addition to organizing outings to local concerts, the group is focused on bringing out our team’s talents with such events as its upcoming karaoke night at Jeff’s Bucket Shop. At our kickoff celebration, claims coordinator Melissa was the lucky winner of the group’s raffle prize — a limited edition picture disc vinyl of Prince’s Purple Rain album.

Social Responsibility Committee

We love giving back to our community and believe it allows us to grow both as a team and as individuals. Our Social Responsibility Committee is dedicated to improving the communities where we live and work through its volunteer efforts and philanthropy. The group also plans donation drives that benefit local organizations. Coming up in August is a service opportunity at the Second Harvest Food Bank, where our team will be inspecting and sorting donated food and grocery items that will be distributed to local charitable agencies. Thomas, CCG IQ controller, was the winner of the group’s raffle prize — a donation to a local charity of his choice — which will go to benefit the Charlotte Rescue Mission.

Sports Committee

Charlotte is a sports town, and our employees love staying active and keeping up with our local teams. The Sports Committee is great at encouraging friendly office competition with such events as its 1st Annual Ping-Pong Tournament. Claims coordinator Austin took home the coveted trophy after a close match with his StrikeCheck colleague Olivia and will have to defend his title next year. The group’s upcoming activities include golf outings, bowling nights and a fantasy football league. Claims processor Lindsay won the committee’s raffle prize — a gift card to BB&T Ballpark — which will be perfect for an after-work Knights game!
